Photojournalism is a created form of work done by a person who captures a picture in the moment and then write about the photo. This comes from some research of what the person is taking in the first place. As stated by Professor Nordell in his video  a person who is taking a picture in being a photojournalist is to be able to take photos and cover the topic at hand. Combining both aspects of capturing pictures and also put into words to match the photo which the journalist has taken.

From the” Britannica encyclopedia” the definition of photojournalism is which is written copy is subordinate to pictorial usually photographic presentation of the news stories or which a high proportion of pictorial presentation is used. The job or activity of using photographs to report news stories in magazines or newspapers. I think from after seeing the you tube videos on Zoriah and Alissa you get the impression that there is a lot more to photojournalism than what the definition said.

Photojournalist creates their own way of capturing the news. Some really get up-close and personal. Through pictures you can document most anything but you should also know how to put these pictures into words. There are times when people are looking at photos we tend not to understand what the photojournalist was after.

Jason Henske from Vermont may have been a small town photojournalist his job in ways was more involved than the ones out there in harm’s way. In the video about Jason Henske he cover many aspects of hometown life You should get feeling about your photos but then again that is not the way most photographers feel. Photojournalists have to use ethics, be fair and unbiased and make sure that they cover the research needed to cover topics for the news in print or something that can be seen else where.

The human brain can only remember so much ,therefore we need images to remind us of the past so we can also look into the future. The past wars and other images of life that has happen before us would not be possible to see or learn if it were not for photojournalism. Pictures are important just for history of the world also history of family which is very important for all of us.

Time has definitely changed for the better in regards to technology. Imagine taking pictures from some camera that you had to wait to see the image. We take for granted how easy it is to just take a picture. This is a good change for all photojournalist.
