Also I did the cover because it's clear and looks like a photo as oppose to a painting like was said about Time magazine photo of 2012 on the cover with hurricane Sandy. The second photo comes from indore.com which I love the cool image and how this had to be in motion and was made into a still photo. Photojournalism in the age of the internet mastering multimedia. Photojournalism in the age of the internet posted in 2010 by: Colin Mulvany. Looking back at the troubling position newspapers are in one must wonder if all the talk of multimedia story really matters, yes it does. Photojournalist are curious and independent thinkers therefore in 2010 they must realize that this way of digital era is here to stay. The disruption that online journalism has a place in photojournalist who would rather do still photos is a hard pill to swallow for the traditional photojournalist. Photojournalist have become more multifaceted visual journalist that has a new format when telling their story. However what may happen according to Colin Mulvany the more talented photojournalist will leave the profession and become more freelance in other areas. If photojournalist tell stories through pictures according to The Art Career Project the the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a nine percent decline...

cluttered mess

Image
This picture was taken because this may seem like a organize mess but it the way life for some of us is going. Year created:2019 The feelings about this picture is when you sometimes leave things unattended you are avoiding life's real question: Do you know what's happening in your life? Texture: There are many Use of shadow comes from the light that was given to take this image. Quality of light is flat and not interesting at all. Keep it simple it is definitely cluttered. The subject matter in which it represents is cluttered. I choose to take this picture because I think it sometimes explains who I am at the moment. Not organize and in complete disorder. I suppose the metaphor of this image is there are possibilities in making the situation better.

The main object is the young man being confronted by the riot police in France during a time if political unrest. You could say that in some ways it may crowd the edge at the bottom center of the image. What feeling did the image create? I see that image as a use of power that shows who is in charge. The youth is almost giving a response of why are you grabbing me with so much force. The background appears to have nothing to do with the front of the image . Spectators are like standing by. Texture that is being shown here is riot gear which is black and the officer has a helmet for protector and student protector is also dressed in black. People in the background have on white and other bright colors. I choose this image because I see a lot fear...

This photo competes with itself because President should not be the in the center. This all about going into space not about him. The background is not out of focus but the foreground is to focus for the image. My feeling of this photo was suppose to indicate something new and amazing coming to the near future. How exciting for all America to witness. The President of the United States being involved with space. That background of the picture indicated something shinny and new but it is a very sterile look at space program. Also the president is holding a part that may or may not go on the space equipment. I choose this image because it does let us know there is future and space plus a new discovery that the U.S. did not know much about...

black and white film

Sharon Monts May 22, 2019 History of Photojournalism Professor: John Nordell Photojournalism was once a joint effort of black and white photography when it came to pictures and images. "Of course for many decades black and white photography was capturing what was a fixed reality based on machine technology, this was done as opposed to painting." Take from the Boston Globe by; Ty Burr. There was a lot about black and white not only in the way of Photojournalism but also in film as well. However when the of black and white roll film came about it still capture a gritty realistic look especially when it came to taking photos of wars. Photojournalist like the idea of the why these pictures came out. There was no longer the liquid process of trying to create a image. The only problem during this era of black and white was that the technology from the camera part of it was lacking in how the images were developed. There were dark rooms and chemicals to be used for pictu...

digital photography

Image
This image is the idea of traveling somewhere not to far away or for a weekend trip. The use of digital camera makes it easy to snap and go,but a true photographer and photojournalist want their images to show depth light and tell the of what they are seeking after.  When we travel bags are needed to put ones clothes and other items in. The luggage is against the wall because they were empty and the traveler had just arrived back from driving 3 hours away from home. Digital photography is great but I believe many photographer do not care for what it may represent. Just take the picture without any thought and just go. A true artist of the camera do not like this concept. There must be depth and imagination when it comes to taking pictures. Digital photography does not offer much of that.

What is photojournalism according to Sharon

Image
Photo by: Larry Burrows image source:  https://falkeeinsgreatplanes.blogspot.com/2010/02/life-magazine.html Photojournalism is a created form of work done by a person who captures a picture in the moment and then write about the photo. This comes from some research of what the person is taking in the first place. As stated by Professor Nordell in his video  a person who is taking a picture in being a photojournalist is to be able to take photos and cover the topic at hand. Combining both aspects of capturing pictures and also put into words to match the photo which the journalist has taken. From the” Britannica encyclopedia” the definition of photojournalism is which is written copy is subordinate to pictorial usually photographic presentation of the news stories or which a high proportion of pictorial presentation is used. The job or activity of using photographs to report news stories in magazines or newspapers. I think from after seeing the you tube videos o...

do photographs change the world

Image
When looking into the research of this question I wasn’t sure, now I believe they do change the world. As Jonathan  Klein mention in his Ted talk photos from the Vietnam War impacted the way people looked at war. Looking at some of the videos and pictures we see what we want with our eyes. But changing your mind set after looking at certain pictures does make a difference. I have a picture from the famine that took place in Somalia and for me that picture really made a difference in my attitude toward hunger. Here in the United States food for most of us is readily available whereas for those in some war torn countries this is not the cast. Words are very important when wanting you audience to capture what you want them to get from the photo. However there are times when the pictures speak for itself.  Photo by : James Nachtwey Image source:  http://infoblogger66.blogspot.com/2017/10/famine-in-somalia-james-nachtwey-1992.html My next picture comes from Birmingham, ...
